Why use a plant based serum face oil?
Serum Face Oils are packed with concentrated skin benefiting ingredients that can’t always be packed into a moisturiser.
The antioxidants and vitamins will boost your overall skin health & with long term use will see signs of skin damage fade & your skin will feel firmer to. I.E. they nourish the skin not strip the skin.
There are fillers , ingredients that are there only to aid absorption or feel silky but are actual harmful to the skin over time. With any product it is best to check out what is in it.
You want to look for serums that the main ingredients are natural plant oils:
- Jojoba Oil , Almond Oil , Macadamia Oil, Rosehip Oil , Walnut Oil , Coconut Oil , Olive Oil, Avocado , Barbary, Blackcurrent, Kukui Nut and Carrot to name a few.
The oils mentioned above mimic the skin best and don’t strip the skin so give a weekly mineral and moisturising boost to help your skin balance out. As with each skin, yours is unique and you know it best so a little time spent understand what you want to do

Manuka is a native New Zealand plant that has been used for centuries , its known for its antimicrobial properties and helps skin irritation. It can also aid in reducing flare ups of blackheads and acne.
I find this particular benefiting to my skin during winter as the cold cause irritation to my skin that the Manuka helps balance out. With the seasons you serum should change as your skin needs change. I find my skin needs more jojoba oil in summer to balance out the time in the sun!
